MOUND CITY — The Kansas Department of Transportation’s Mound City maintenance supervisor Garrett “Russ” Brandt has retired after 32 years. He began his KDOT career as an equipment operator at the Paola office. He has spent the past 15 years supervising highway maintenance activities in Linn County. He lives in the Paola area and plans to spend putting up hay and working with his horses and other livestock, and remodeling his home.
