The Ottawa University Women’s Flag Football Team, who are in their first year of existence, won the National Championship last weekend! That’s right, the National Championship! The team went to the tournament in Atlanta, played at the Atlanta Falcons Stadium with only one loss on the season… interestingly enough, to the team they beat in the National Final, Keiser. Head Coach, Liz Sowers, says there was one key moment when she knew something special was going to happen:
She said she is already getting phone calls and recruitment letters from, literally, all over the world, from girls that are interested in the Ottawa program. Sounds like its time to start a Flag Football Dynasty at OU!
