A pond in Ottawa that the City has been trying to renovate may have to wait a while longer for further work. Ottawa Public Works Director, Michael Haeffele, told the City Commission about Lakeside Park, north of 17th Street on Ash Court:
Haeffele says it now appears the National Guard will not be able to get to the pond, and he is now talking to a private contractor about working on the pond. Haeffele says without some digging, the pond can’t sustain fish and preserve the water quality.
