The Parks Department will get a new building for the first time in over 20 years soon. The City commission approved purchasing the building at 115 Keokuk for the Parks Department. It will also be used by two other departments.
The total cost of the building will be about $320,000. Haeffele added that it will be paid for with cash and be split proportionately among three departments. Work on the property is likely to begin on June first.
