LOUISBURG — The First National Bank of Louisburg is celebrating its 90th anniversary and recently had a special day. The bank was chartered in 1920 and weathered the Great Depression. The Louisburg Journal reported that the main bank has been in three locations during its history. One downtown location burned and the bank moved to the old city hall. It moved to its present location on K-68 in western Louisburg. The bank has been owned by the Sutherland family for nearly 40 years, the paper reported.
