The Housing Market in Ottawa is starting to boom. Community Development Director, Wendy Lee, showed City Commissioners data showing the City has over 90 lots available for new construction in various locations and more coming available in new proposed subdivisions. However, she noted, there are quite a few vacant houses that could help the housing situation:
The Commission will be organizing a Land Bank to deal with several properties they purchased at an auction earlier this year. The special Land Bank Meeting will be held tomorrow night at 6:00, just before the Regular Commission Meeting at 7:00.
