The City of Ottawa is taking a look at establishing a Tax Increment District; also known as a TIF District, to establish a new sidewalk in the southern part of Ottawa, near Price Chopper. At the Ottawa Planning Commission Study Session, Community Development Director Wyndee Lee described the proposed project:
Lee says one purpose of the Project would be to keep people from walking along the highway. Further discussion of the Project is expected to the May 12th meeting.
