A one car accident on I-35 late yesterday morning left an Illinois man with serious injuries. About 10:00 yesterday morning, 29 year old Mason Shumate of Carbondale, Illinois was traveling northbound in the 2800 block of I-35 and, for reasons unknown, he left the road, causing his vehicle to enter the center median, travel down a ravine and overturn. Mason was transported to Advent Health Ottawa for serious injuries sustained in the crash. The accident is still under investigation
