OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters investigated a report of carbon monoxide at a home in the 600 block of South Cherry Saturday afternoon. Fire Chief Jeff Carner said firefighters found that a gas kitchen stove was emitting carbon monoxide and advised the occupants to fix it. Although firefighters have responded to several carbon monoxide reports this winter, Carner said it’s not unusual for his department receive more calls during the winter time.
