OTTAWA — The goal was to pack 100,000 meals for the world’s poor.  The Franklin County Numana Food for the Starving project did that and more Saturday.  Once they got going, the volunteer packers assembled more than 110,000 special packages of high-protein-concentrate food designed to feed six people, said Carolyn Elder, one of the organizers of the event.  The packages will be distributed among the world’s hungry.  The Franklin County group will continue to raise money for the program, she said.
