A cash infusion from the State of Kansas will help guarantee the completion of the Econo-Lodge in south Ottawa from a motel to a 44-unit housing complex. Developer Josh Walker is doing the project and City Attorney Blaine Finch says Walker talking to state officials, has proven fruitful:
Finch says the funds are Federal Funds, so that probably explains the city being the pass-through for getting the money to Walker.
Walker estimates the project will be completed next summer or fall.
