The West Franklin High School Music Department will be holding a benefit concert tonight. All the funds raised will go toward a trip to Branson. But, this is no ordinary trip to Branson. The band and choir have been invited to be the opening acts for two Branson shows in March.
West Franklin graduate, Caleb McKenzie,, who has performed many places locally and is a regular performer at the Grand ‘Ol Opry held at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium will perform. He writes many of his own songs as well as covering other songs. His style is country and pop and he had some of his music professionally recorded.
Admission to the event is $5.00 for middle school age and older, $3.00 for elementary students and younger. Desserts will be sold for a donation. The event will be held Saturday evening at 6:15 at West Franklin High.
