Eleven Kansas communities will receive a combined total of nearly $5 million in Moderate Income Housing Funds and $7.5 million in Kansas Housing Investor Tax credits. One of those projects is in Ottawa. The City of Ottawa will receive $120,000 in Moderate Income Housing Funds for the construction of four single family homes and one duplex. Heartline Design will receive $180,000 of Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credits for those homes.
The awards are made possible through the State of Kansas’ Moderate Housing Program and the Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit Programs and will provide resources to develop moderate income housing for families in rural communities which are committed to help Kansans access safe, affordable housing.
