Lawrence police are teaming up with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to warn parents and students about the growing danger of fentanyl in Kansas. Community based Services Officer for the Group “Developing Caring Communities Committed to Action” Chrissy Mayer, says it’s important for families to know how easily children can access these drugs so the parents can be on the lookout for warning signs:

Law enforcement around the Region are dealing with an increase in fentanyl related overdoses. Mayer says more towns are dealing with more overdoses and drug issues than in the past and the increase in the use and overdoses of fentanyl is an alarming trend and no communities are immune to this National crisis.
