OTTAWA — Ottawa University men’s head basketball coach Andy Carrier has been named college coach of the year by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association. This marks the second time in Carrier’s OU career that he has been named as the state’s top college coach. In 1995, he led the braves to the NAIA national tournament.
Despite this year’s fifth seed in the KCAC post-season tournament, the braves won and made it to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA Division II national tournament.
