OTTAWA — The Ottawa Planning Commission will resume a public hearing tonight on a request by Sacred Heart Catholic Church to start a preschool and daycare on the southwest corner of Fifth and Hickory. The city staff recommends that the request be approved. The planners will also have to handle a hot potato handed back to them by the city commission. After a spicy hearing, the city commission sent back a proposal to build a video store at Ninth and Main. Planners are expected to ask for a traffic study on the intersection before passing it back.
