EUDORA — An 18-year-old Wellsville man was taken to the Kansas University Hospital as a result of a head-on crash near Eudora this weekend. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department said Nicholas Mann drifted over the center line on County Road 458 Sunday afternoon into the path of a pickup driven by Everett Farmer, 72, Eudora. Officers said both men tried to avoid each other but hit head-on. Farmer was taken to Lawrence Memorial Mospital. Mann had to be cut out of his car.
