BALDWIN CITY — Thomas the Tank Engine is visiting Baldwin City this and next weekend. Beginning Friday, the Midland Railway is hosting “Thomas and Friends” based on the popular kids’ book and animated television show featuring model trains.Thomas the Tank Engine will haul vintage trains from Baldwin City into Franklin County. Each day, trains will depart about every 45 minutes from 9:45 to 3:45 each Friday, Saturday and Sunday on both weekends. The annual event is one of Midland Railway’s most popular attraction and advance tickets are recommended. Park in the Baldwin High School parking lot. A free shuttle bus will take passengers to the Midland Railway depot.
