GARNETT – A Garnett couple was injured when the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a car in Garnett Saturday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Howard Mead, 61, Garnett, and Susan Ann Mead, 55, were riding their motorcycle south on Oak Street, which is U.S. 59 when they were struck by a car driven by Mary Rockers, 45, Garnett. Troopers said Rockers turned from First Street onto Oak in front of the motorcycle. The Meads were taken to Anderson County Hospital, Garnett.
