WILLIAMSBURG — A woman and her children escaped when a fire occurred early this morning at their house in the 100 block of South Center Street in Williamsburg: Williamsburg Fire Chief Ralph Ferguson said the family members were asleep but weren’t injured. The damage was contained to a dryer and laundry area, he said. The Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Fire Department and the Franklin County EMS also responded to the fire.
