OTTAWA — A new study could be the blueprint for managing growth and development along K-68 between Ottawa and the Missouri line. State transportation officials will unveil the final draft of a corridor study to public officials at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Franklin County Annex. City manager Richard Nienstedt said Franklin and Miami counties, Ottawa and other cities along the highway will write planning rules based on the study. The management plan will outline what local governments can do and will establish a rulebook for everybody, he said. He said public meetings on the study will be next month. The Ottawa Planning Commission will also take up the proposed management plan, he said.
