LANE — The winner of a senior spelling bee at Mound City hopes to spell success in Topeka next month. Helen Belt, 86, Lane, will compete in the state senior spelling bee in Topeka on Oct. 16. If she wins, she’ll be eligible for the senior spelling bee in Cheyenne, Wyo., later this year.
