OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received at least three reports of vehicles hitting deer over the weekend. Weston Heck, Westphalia, hit a deer on I-35 northeast of Ottawa early Friday morning. Sherry Sawin, Princeton hit a deer in the 2000 block of Louisiana Road northwest of Princeton early Friday morning. Jill Nitcher, Pomona, hit a deer in the 1500 block of Labette Road near Richter early Saturday morning. There were no injuries reported.
