OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Commission will be asked to approve a new Ottawa Police Foundation when they meet this morning at 9:30 at city hall. The foundation will be able to raise money for police-related events and equipment including the DARE program, said city manager Richard Nienstedt. Foundation chair Janet Peters explained the foundation to commissioners at their Monday study session.
