TOPEKA — A Kansas Amber Alert for a 17-year-old Marion County girl has been cancelled. The Amber Alert was issued Wednesday afternoon but deactivated shortly before midnight. However, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department is still looking for Tara Renee Simhiser. She is white, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds and has blonde hair and brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and dark shirt. The Marion County Sheriff’s Department said she may be with 21-year-old Rojelio Hernandez, Hispanic, five-feet, eight-inches, 155 pounds, brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a light brown shirt, blue jeans and a blue ball cap. He could be driving a blue, late-90s Honda Accord.
They could be in the Topeka or Wichita areas. If you see them, call 911 or 1-800-KS-CRIME.
