GARNETT — Nearly $200 million in lost money and property is waiting to be claimed from the Kansas State Treasurer, and more than $150,000 of that money and property belongs to Anderson County residents. More than 200 residents and a handful of businesses in the county are listed on the treasurer’s web site that lists unclaimed money and property. The web site is www.kansascash.com. You can call toll-free at 800-432-0386. State Treasurer Dennis McKinney said if you haven’t checked the site recently, you should try again because his office adds millions of unclaimed assets every year.
