GARNETT — What are typical Thanksgiving traditions? Many in Anderson County say it’s all about the food. Donna Westerman of Colony said a typical Thanksgiving celebration is held at her house with her son Dan doing most of the cooking. But Chris Rockers of Garnett said it’s not typical for men to do the holiday cooking. But both say their Thanksgiving meals are traditional with turkey, ham, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. However, Rockers said because of her family’s German heritage, they also include sauerkraut. Carla Skiles of Greeley said that her family’s traditions include football, either on the TV or outside with the kids.
