OTTAWA — The city plans to request a grant to build sidewalks and bike lanes along 15th Street between the Prairie Spirit Trail and Eisenhower Aavenue. City planning director Wynndee Lee said the grant would pay 80 percent of the $400,000 project and would be a major improvement in safety along a street that has a combination of the heaviest traffic, cluster of businesses and school students. Lee said the city would like to have letters of support for the grant. The application deadline is Dec. 30.
