OTTAWA — Federal appeals court judge Deanell Reece Tacha will be the guest speaker at the Franklin County Historical Society’s 72nd annual meeting Tuesday evening at 5:30 at the Ottawa Country Club. Tacha is chair of the Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area and recently presided over a moot court in Missouri that “tried” John Brown for the Pottawatomie Massacre in Franklin County in 1856. Everyone interested in Franklin County history is invited to attend.
