EDGERTON — An open house on the future of U.S. 56 between Baldwin City and Gardner will be tonight from 5 to 7 at the Mildale Farm Equestrian Barn, 35250 W.
199th St., Edgerton. The Kansas Department of Transportation is doing a corridor study of 22 miles of U.S. 56 between U.S. 59 west of Baldwin City and I-35 at Fardner.
The open house will allow area residents, businesses and commuters to look at maps and recommendations for controlling traffic and development along the highway. Another open house will be Thursday night at the Baldwin
Elementary School-Intermediate Center in Baldwin City.
