POMONA–Lawsuits continue to fly in Pomona. The latest is one filed against the city by George T. Sayers, a former zoning administrator. He declined comment to KOFO, but in his lawsuit filing, Sayers says he’s been libeled and slandered and wants 1.5 million dollars in damages. Sayers says false statements were made about him during a public meeting last July. He says the Mayor recommended he be hired as the zoning administrator…and one of the council members said Sayers could not be hired because he “stole from the city.” Sayers says some people in Pomona now just look at him like he’s a thief.
