OTTAWA — Two accidents on I-35 sent three people to Ransom Memorial Hospital Sun day afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Krista Barefoot of Overland Park was driving north through the snow on I-35 about four miles northeast of Ottawa when she lost control of her car on a slick spot. Her car slid into the ditch and rolled over several times. She was treated and released. Kathleen Mayfield, 41, Kansas City, Kan., was on the northbound exit at U.S. 59 when she lost control of her car and it went into the ditch and rolled, the highway patrol said. Mayfield and passenger Charles Mayfield, 13, were treated and released.
