OTTAWA — It’s the dark side of Franklin County history. For the first time, the Franklin County Historical Society’s Esoteric and Terrible Order of Pie Eaters will bring you seances, spirit photography and spiritualism and other Franklin County skin-crawling historical oddities on Saturday night. Or should that be Saturday fright? Volunteers will dress in historic costumes and discuss or re-enact famous creepy incidents in local history including a séance to find an Ottawa murderer, funeral customers, spirit photos, and violent acts, said historical society executive director Deb Barker. Tickets are on sale at the museum for $13 and should be purchased in advance, because reservations are required. Visitors will leave with hot chocolate or hot cider, a pocket pie, and a spirit photo of themselves, she said. If they leave.
