OTTAWA — Ottawa police are investigating a report from an Ottawa woman who saw a man carrying a weapon and walking in the 300 block of North Cherry Street shortly before midnight Wednesday night. The woman couldn’t tell if the man was carrying a pistol or rifle, said Police Lt. Adam Weingartner. The man didn’t threaten the woman or say anything to her but fled when she chased him from the neighborhood, he said. Weingartner said there’s little to describe the man other than he was a white man. There few other details regarding the incident, he said.
