GARNETT — Tuesday will be a day in the life of the Garnett Public Library. The Garnett Library will be among several libraries across the state taking part in “Snapshot: A Day in the Life of Kansas Libraries.” Librarians will compile a variety of statistics, customer comments, photographs and other things they do to chronicle a typical library day. Garnett Library director Andrea Sobba told the Anderson County Review that the results will be added to those of other libraries across Kansas to show how libraries provide valuable services every day to Kansans. She said she hopes the Snapshot drives home the point that many Kansans rely on public libraries for critical services.
