OTTAWA — Ottawa police said someone stole anhydrous ammonia from a tank at the Ottawa Co-op in the 100 block of North Cedar Street sometime late Monday night or early this morning. The thieves didn’t completely turn off the valve and ottawa firefighters were called to the scene. The firefighters took over the leak site until co-op officials arrived to check the tank, said assistant fire chief Richard Oglesby. Police also received a report of a burglary and theft of a home in the 500 block of North Poplar Monday night.
