OTTAWA — A Marine from Ottawa recently graduated from the Marine Corps’ basic combat engineer course at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Private First Class Dustin Van Leiden learned to build and repair bridges, roads and field fortifications; and was trained on demolition concepts, land mine warfare and camouflage. He is a 2004 graduate of Ottawa High School.
