WILLIAMSBURG — A sheriff’s deputy solved a mystery of a pickup on its top Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s office said 24-year-old Clinton Johnson, of Illinois, was driving west in the 900 block of Ellis Road when his pickup left the road and it rolled on its roof. He left the truck and accident scene without calling law officers. A deputy later contacted him by phone and got a report. The accident was listed as an injury accident but didn’t give the extent of Johnson’s injuries.
