OTTAWA — Work on the new and larger intensive care unit at Ransom Memorial Hospital continues and remains on track, said hospital finance director Dean Ohmart. The work, which involved moving the ICU and enlarging and improving it, is scheduled to be done this spring, he said. RMH will have a grand opening when the project is completed, he said. When the ICU is done, work will start on remodelling and updating the patient rooms. In the meantime, while the hospital is continuing with its renovation project inside the building, hospital staffers are renovating its system of medical records by converting them from paper to electronic records. Converting to electronic records is a federal mandate, he said. The conversion should be completed next year, Ohmart said.
