OTTAWA — Beware a new cell phone scam. Ottawa Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said an Ottawa detective received a cell-phone call from 605-939-2424. The call was a computerized woman’s voice speaking Spanish. Weingartner said that apparently cell phones all over the country are being targeted. People who answer are being billed for several minutes even those they hung up after a few seconds, he said.
