KANSAS CITY, Kan–The Kansas Department of Transportation phone wasn’t the only one ringing during this week’s blizzard. But also KU Med’s Poison Control Center. Poison Control Center’s Daling McMoran says boredom causes children to get into hazardous materials. McMoran says that children are getting into substances such as adult prescription medicine, cough syrup, and even rock salt.
