OTTAWA — City commissioners instructed city attorney Bob Bezek Monday to draft an agreement with Ottawa Main Street concerning a proposed beer garden fundraiser. Main Street would like to have the fundraiser at a parking lot at First and Hickory in June but commissioners have split on the proposal. City manager Richard Nienstedt said the commission needed a little extra time to examine the proposal but could vote on the proposal at its first meeting in March.
