PAOLA — February is free at the Paola Free Library. The library is declaring this month as an “amnesty month.” If you have any fines for overdue items, the library will wipe out those fines whenever you show up at the library. However, you must have returned those overdue items. The amnesty doesn’t include fees for books or materials you’ve lost. You either have to find them or pay up so the library can order a replacement. The free offer ends March 1, when rates go up to 10 cents per day per item.
