POMONA — Kansas Department of Transportation could replace the Marais des Cygnes River bridge on K-68 five miles east of Pomona. KDOT said the bridge is narrow by today’s standards and the deck has deteriorated. However, the replacement project hasn’t been scheduled. A KDOT survey crew will start working at the bridge Monday measuring the bridge and the highway approaches to the bridge.
