OTTAWA — When you’re a street sweeper, it can be lonely when your neighbor is a fire truck. Ask Steve Donohoe, who drives Ottawa’s street sweeper and who had it on display for Spring Fling’s “Tractors, Trucks and More,” where most of the kids were standing at the fire truck. However, kids who jump into the street sweeper, are fascinated to learn there are two steering wheels, he said. This morning’s Spring Fling begins at 9 for an open gym at the Ottawa High School gyms. The open gym goes until 11. The Ottawa Library will host bingo from 10 to 11:30. The kids carnival will be 10:30 to 1:30 at the Church of the Nazarene, Seventh and Elm. There will be another open gym at the Don Woodward Center from 10:30 to 5.
Today’s free lunch will be 11 to 1 at the Church of the Nazarene.
Ceremics, Part 2, is at the Carnegie Center basement 1-4. Play some golf at the Ottawa Country Club 1-4, with grades K-2 at 1, grades 3-5 at 2, and grades 6-8 at 3.
There will be a magic show at the Church of the Nazarene at 4, martial aArts at the OU Mabee Center at 5, and skating at The Rink 6-9 for kids 10 and younger. Admission for skating is $1.
