KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thieves ripped copper wiring from about 15 locomotives at the Reload Central facility in Kansas City, Mo., over the weekend. The Kansas City Star reported the thieves stole 3,500 pounds of copper wire and severely damaged the locomotives. Police estimated the losses and damage at $1 million. The locomotives will have to be shipped out of state for repairs.
