OLATHE – Gov. Sam Brownback and commerce secretary Pat George praised the opening of the International Animal Health and Food Safety Institute at the Kansas State University campus at Olathe. They showed up for this week’s grand opening. George said the institute will help k-state become one the nation’s best research universities in the growing industry sector of animal health and food safety. K-State Olathe is part of the Johnson County Education and Research Triangle Initiative, a cooperative effort with the University of Kansas that involves KU’s Edwards campus and the KU Medical Center.
