GARNETT–Patrons in the Anderson County School District will be seeing more cutbacks next school year. School Superintendent Don Blome has proposed a budget plan that calls for almost $300,000 in cuts. Among the various cuts, one administrator would be laid off. The plan also calls for $265,000 in new revenues. It would include $75,000 in a local option budget tax increase, $160,000 in district reserve funds, and $30,000 in Contingency Fund Spending increases. All together, the district has lost about $1,000,000 in aid over the last 3 years.
