LAWRENCE — Two Kansas University graduates from Miami County and another from Gardner were commissioned as officers in the U.S. armed forces during ceremonies this weekend in Lawrence. Christian Jensen of Paola became a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Christopher Zelinski of Louisburg and Kohn Fridlington of Gardner were commissioned as second lieutenants in the Army. Sharrod Greene of Baker University also trained at KU and was also commissioned.
