GARNETT — For the second year, that annual Garnett Memorial Day tradition – the Avenue of Flags at the Garnett Cemetery — was up for the entire Memorial Day weekend. American flags line the main roads in the cemetery. Garnett city manager Joyce Martin said many visitors look forward to the Avenue of Flags. Last year, the city got so many compliments and requests for the extended days, she said. The Avenue of Flags, will remain through tonight, is becoming a tourist attraction, bringing visitors who come just to see the flags.
